Meet Our Pastor

Reverend Grady & Judy Chandler

Reverend Grady Chandler

In May of 2000 Reverend Grady Chandler and his wife Judy Chandler moved to Bastrop, Texas to assume the Pastorate of Bastrop United Pentecostal Church. After pastoring two other churches, one in Louisiana and one in Central Texas God called them to settle down in Bastrop, Texas. The Chandlers started their journey of serving the Lord being faithful and working in their home church in Cleveland, Texas under the mentorship of Reverend Nelson Neyland. Teaching Bible studies, youth ministry, singles ministry, preaching, and any other area that was needed. Pastor Chandler embraced the Acts 2:38 message in 1980 followed by his wife in 1981. Loving this new life and Holy Ghost experience he was ready to share with anyone that would let him.

After coming to Bastrop, Pastor Chandler has been active in chaplaincy for the Bastrop Police Department and the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Department, and courthouse prayer. Along with loving and ministering to wonderful people God has given him. In 2008 the church name was changed to “The Pentecostals of Bastrop”. In 2010 a new structure was built at 261 FM 20 Bastrop. Today our church thrives with people that love God and love growing in God under the leadership of a pastor and pastor’s wife. Pastor Chandler is an ordained minister in the United Pentecostal Church International.
